FAQs

What kind of license is required to rent motorcycles from ikerZ?

We take a valid driver’s license from your home country stating that you’re allowed to ride a motorcycle equivalent to the motorcycle you are renting. Please note that the your own country or state laws are the laws which are applicable for your rental.


What else is included in the rental?

All rental charges include one complimentary helmet for the rider.


Is there any contract? What are the terms?

Yes, you need to sign a simple contract when the vehicle is handed-over to you. Contract includes basic terms of renting, payment, refund and damage policy. To know all the terms & conditions, you can refer the tab named “IKERZ TERMS & CONDITIONS”.


Does ikerZ offer one way rentals?

Currently, we do not provide one way rentals, but we will soon launch this program.


Do you offer helmets, gloves, knee-elbow guards, camping tent, and other accessories?

Absolutely. One Helmet for riders is included with your motorcycle rental. In addition, you can also rent the latest styles of helmets, gloves, riding gears, and everything else you will need for the perfect ride.


Can I have the vehicle delivered at my home?

Absolutely. We offer motorcycle delivery and pick-up for individuals and groups within Delhi/NCR. This service carry an additional cost subjected to availability of motorcycles and staff.


How much do I need to pay and when?

Renting charges (non-refundable) have to be paid online while security deposit (refundable) have to be paid from where you pick up the bike or to the delivery boy through card or cash. If you have opted for delivery at home, the delivery charges are required to be paid in cash to the delivery boy.


When do I get my refundable deposit back?

Once we pick up vehicle from your place on agreed date and time, they undergo quality checks by our QC team at our warehouse. Refundable deposit is given back after deducting repair charges if any on the date of return if it is returned at our outlet and in 2 working days if bike is returned at customer’s place. No interest is paid on the deposit amount. If the vehicle is returned by you to our location, the deposit is given back after deducting repair charges (if any) immediately after the quality check.


Rental Terms & Conditions

REQUIREMENTS FOR A MOTORCYCLE RENTAL

You must be at least 21 years old; You must have a valid motorcycle class driving license; You must have a valid government ID apart from driving license, i.e. PAN CARD / ELECTION CARD / AADHAR CARD / PASSPORT / ID ISSUED BY CENTRAL or STATE GOVT (to be kept with us in original till the return of vehicle); You must deposit a security deposit in cash.

There are 3 options for security deposit. Customer needs to select one out of these three. 1. Zero Cash Deposit – Post-Dated Cheque (Customer’s own cheque) + Original Passport + Copy of Driving License 2. Rs. 2,000 cash + Post-Dated Cheque + Copy of Driving License + Any govt ID proof (Adhar Card or Voter ID). 3. Rs. 4,000 cash + original passport + copy of license.

Post Dated Cheque: It’s a normal cheque with a date of 5 days after your trip is ending. Since, no bank accepts a post dated cheque, hence it’s just taken as a security and is returned immediately when a customer returns the bike. The cheque will have a bike insured value.

Note: If the customer doesn’t come prepared with these documents, it will be treated as a no show and no refund will be made for that booking.

For bikes which have rent above Rs. 1200, the security deposit amount  differs and customer needs to check additional information on the respective product page.


WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL RATE

Sufficient fuel to reach the nearest fuel pump and you can then get it filled as per your need; Use of vehicle for a 24 hour period; Free helmet for the driver, but clients are encouraged to bring their own helmets for comfort and style.

Note : For any unavoidable circumstances, if the particular bike ordered by a customer is not available, the customer will get an upgraded or a similar category model.


PAYMENT PROCESS

Renting charges (non-refundable) have to be paid online while security deposit (refundable) have to be paid from where you pick up the bike or to the delivery boy through card or cash;


MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITY

The customer is responsible for checking engine oil levels at each refueling and reporting mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures will maintenances are provided at pick-up; Customers may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in motorcycle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance’ In case of any Tampering/Removal/ Replacement of parts and accessories, Rs 5000(Rupees five thousand only) penalty for non luxury vehicles and Rs 50000 for luxury vehicles plus the actual cost for replacement will be charged; The customer must get the vehicle serviced after every 1500 KMs of drive which includes change of engine oil, change of air filter, and all necessary servicing things; In case of any loss of parts and accessories, the actual cost of the part/accessories plus the labour cost will be charged.


VEHICLE USAGE

The customer shall use the motorcycle entirely at his/her own risk and agrees that ikerZ or any lessor will not accept any responsibility or be held accountable for any loss, injury or death as a result of, or leading from the hire of any of the vehicles rented from ikerZ; Customer is responsible for his insurance; customer will not be responsible for any accidental expenses of rider or customer or pillion rider; The motorcycle shall be returned back to the lessor in the same condition in which it was handed over to customer, otherwise, the related damage charges will be deducted from the security deposit; Customer is responsible for any traffic violations incurred due to his/her usage of vehicle and he/she must report such violations to a representative of ikerZ as soon as possible.


RESTRICTIONS

In case of Smoking/Alcohol/any type of drug consumption by customer while riding the rented vehicle, Rs 1000+applicable damages to the bike will be charged. This is to ensure safety of customers; The vehicles are equipped with GPS tracker. In case of over-speeding, i.e. beyond 90 kmph, Rs. 200 will be charged on the first instance, Rs. 500 will be charged on the second instance & Rs. 1000 will be charged on the third instance; The customer is prohibited to use the vehicle for any illegal activity, racing, competitions, or for any primary business purpose of transporting people or operating a taxi service.

If the booking is for 3 or less than 3 days, there will be dailiy km limit of 250 Kms beyond which Rs. 5 per km will be charged.


DELIVERY & PICK-UP POLICIES

Pick-up date and time will be mutually decided by customer and lessor; Photos and video made at the time of delivery will be matched to ascertain damages if any; Customer has to be present at the agreed date and time of delivery if he/she has opted for delivery, otherwise shipping charges will be retained by us as logistics cost and one day rent will be charged as the vehicle will not be available for anyone else; Delivered Bike cannot be rejected after handover. Once accepted by customer or his/her representative at the time of delivery/pickup, vehicle will not be returned before agreed time period. Customer should do quality test of vehicle before he accepts it from lessor; Photos of customer will be taken with the vehicle delivered for our records.


DAMAGE POLICIES

The Customer agrees to pay for any damage to, loss of, or any theft (disappearance) of parts of bike, regardless of cause or fault.  Item damaged beyond repair will be paid for at its Market Price; Tear in seat cover will result in charge towards replacement of seat cover. Opening up a stitched joint will not be chargeable The extent of damage would be ascertained by comparing against the quality control document signed by the Lessee and photographs taken on delivery; In case of damage to engine, latent to the engine of the bike , the user shall solely be responsible for the related charges, either the full or the residue of actual cost of repair/replacement of the engine. The user shall be bound to immediately inform the company about the damage occurred and under no circumstance shall continue driving the said bike in the damaged condition. Any other consequential cost(s) shall also be borne by the user. Further, if the user attempts to conceal such damage from the company, then the company shall reserve a right to initiate appropriate legal action(s) against the said user, in accordance with the law.


Cancellation & Refund

ORDER MODIFICATIONS/CANCELLATION

For Delhi and Gurgaon:

For short-term bookings (less than 5 days), the order could be modified/cancelled till 72 hours prior to the scheduled pick up time with 10% cancellation charges. You can mail or call us in order to modify/cancel your order. Delivery time and date might change due to modification. If the booking is cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled pick up time, 1 day rental will be charged and if booking is cancelled on or after pick up time, it will be treated as no show and no amount will be refunded (Not applicable for long-term Bike Rentals).

For Ladakh/Manali/Long-term bike rental bookings (5 or more days), if the booking is cancelled/modified before 30 days of the start of trip, the complete booking amount (after deducting 10% for payment gateway) will be refunded, if the booking is cancelled/modified within 7 to 30 days of the start of trip, 50% amount will be refunded back to the customer, and if the booking is cancelled/modified within 0 to 7 days, nothing will be refunded back to the customer.

For Mumbai:

The order could be modified/cancelled till 1 week prior to the scheduled pick up time with 10% cancellation charges. You can mail or call us in order to modify/cancel your order. If the booking is cancelled between 1 week and 72  hours prior to scheduled pickup time then 50% cancellation charge even if the booking is made within that week. If the booking is cancelled within 72 hours of the scheduled pick up time no amount will be refunded even if the bike is booked within the 72 hours of the scheduled pick up time.

RETURN AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY

If accepted by you or your representative (anyone receiving order on your behalf) at the time of delivery, nothing will be returned later. Only items with major defects or non functionality will be taken back. No item will be taken back on the basis of liking or disliking as all the things are mentioned on the website and customer is very well aware of his likes/dislikes before placing an order. However, some genuine issues can be discussed over a call and we might take items back but only if pointed out at the time of delivery.

LATE RETURN

One hour leverage, i.e. customer is allowed to return the vehicle within 1 hour of termination of renting contract, in case of daily bookings. In case of delay Rs. 500 + two times of the normal rental will be charged. Operational timings are 11 am to 7 pm everyday. After 7 pm no bike drops will be allowed.

REFUND POLICY

The deposit will be refunded in full if the bike is returned in the same condition as it was received in. In case of any damage, the required amount for repairs will be deducted from the deposit. If the repair cost exceeds the deposit, the customer is liable to pay the additional amount. Original bills will be required in case of any reimbursement due to any mechanical faults (if repaired by you)

Payment & Refund policy

Booking will be based on First come First serve.

20% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges for booking once made

No refund will be there if cancellation made within 15 days to start the trip


Other Terms & Conditions

Motor Biking is an adventure activity and the rates do not cover any insurance, risk cover, damages, claims etc. We or any team member would not be liable in any case for any mishap/ loss etc.

Our tour costs do not include any travel insurance/ repatriation charges/ damages/ claims etc. in case of any eventuality.

Your participation in a trip is entirely at your own risk. We are NOT responsible or liable for any injuries you may suffer, fatal or otherwise. Also, we are NOT responsible for anyloss or damage to your property, including your motorcycle, irrespective of how any damage may have been caused.

Tours has to be confirmed at least 90 days before arrival date.

Bike rider need to have a valid International (for foreigners)/ National (for Indians) driving License which should cover driving two or four wheelers.

Group members would have to get own helmets/ knee guard/ elbow guards/ shoes/ bikingTrouser and Jacket. Wearing Helmet is mandatory.

Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/ stay on account of flight/train cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks and/or any factors beyond control.

A person booking any of group departure would have to give an undertaking stating thatHe/ she has been communicated very clearly all the Terms & Conditions of the tour andHe/ she understand fully the risks involved in a holiday of this kind and incase of anyDeath, accident, mishap that may occur during the course of tour would be his/ her soleResponsibility and we or any team members would not be responsible or liable in any case.

It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day to day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour is taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shallNot be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to Conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, War, vehicle problems, political closures and disputes.

The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed

We would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident etc
